Be prepared

Posted by: admin in: ● November 10, 2017

I was recently watching the news on a new international channel, when suddenly I was struck with the revelation of the tumultuous state of the world at large! Wars, Disasters and Pestilence have become an every day occurrence. It suddenly dawned on me that all is not well with this universe. As I was trying to calm myself down and rebuke the spirit of panic, I heard the Lord speak to me as in the past. He said “Don’t you get it? The scripture is being fulfilled before your very eyes”. I was stunned and disheveled, but still hoping to hear more. I did the only thing I knew would bring me truth and went searching through the source of all knowledge; the Holy Bible.

The first scripture that caught my eyes was the book of Luke 12:54-56. ” And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is. And when ye see the south wind blow, ye say, There will be heat; and it cometh to pass.  Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?” Brethren, is there a possibility that we are very oblivious to what is happening around us? This brings us to another scripture that caught my attention through the guidance of the Holy Spirit; earlier in the same twelfth chapter of the gospel of Luke, Jesus Christ said, ” And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through. Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.”(verses 39&40) Are we actually in denial of possibilities of sequence of events preceding the triumphant second coming of the Messiah?

Without arrogating to myself the power to judge anybody, I want to appeal to all people of God to pray without ceasing in these perilous times. Most of us pray for prosperity so much that we forget that our sustenance depends on the world we live in. We forget that we have to pray for our earthly home, until the time we transition to our heavenly home where there will be no more wars, destruction, pestilence or death. Nobody wants to intercede for nations, leaders or even causes. If we can use a quarter of the time we use in preaching to stand in the gap for the peace of our earthly abode, we will definitely change the direction of its affairs. We cannot stand aloof and be unperturbed by silent signals of a greater catastrophe. By every definition, it is not well with this universe; where there is war in almost every part of the planet and diseases and pestilence have continuously ravaged communities. Sin and abominations are the trends of this emancipated specie called mankind that has suddenly forgotten that life is a gift from God.

Our Lord Jesus Christ warned us of the danger of not being alert and watchful concerning spiritual matters and truths that are infallible; because they come from the mouth of God. Nothing that comes from His mouth will go back unfulfilled. The book of Luke 17:28 -30 takes us down memory lane, revealing consequences of treating the word of God with levity

6 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. ”

My greatest wish is that this generation will not become another historical data of those who were not ready for the arrival of the King of kings and Lord of lords. We have to rise and raise awareness about events around us that are pointers to impending manifestation of Scriptural prophecies. This is the time for the church of God to prepare an army of soldiers of Christ who will raise the banners of our God high across all nations; preparing the way of the Lord. We are to pray without ceasing, with great expectation that when the Lion of the tribe Judah shall appear He will be the appointed bridegroom that has come to meet a worthy bride, (The elect) The wedding will be heralded by archangels the angels and other hosts of heaven. Are you ready to be part of this holy Eucharist? What a glorious day; when we shall all behold His glory with our own bare eyes! Halleluyah

Power Of The Spoken Word

Posted by: admin in: ● October 12, 2017

It is interesting to know that the words we use daily, can build or destroy us. We are living in an environment where words are tossed around like a sprinkle of salt which gives a meal the necessary flavor. Curse words, derogatory words, limiting and hurtful words sum up the totality of what we become. Energy and vibrations come with every utterance; creating a monster or a saint, hell or heaven. As we use words like “Can’t”, “Sick andoTired”, “Hanging on”, “Loser”, and many more that become embedded in our being like plaque stuck on a tooth, we are far removed from the perfect will of God. Through incessant use of negative words, the modern man has become limited in many ways.

In the very beginning was the Word, that Word was God and the Word was the essence of His total being. The heavenly Father created everything that He made with the Word. He spoke and all things were established. That Word was life and nothing could destroy it. Through Christ Jesus we have all inherited that life; He died, rose and made each one of us His perfect dwelling place. How then can we re-write our stories? You may like to check out these suggestions.

1. You are a creator.
2. The word you speak is life.
3. Vibrations and energy come with every word.
4. You are creating every time you speak.
5. Think before you speak.
6. Resist every word that devalues your essence.
7. Do not allow others to create a mess around you with their words.
8. Speak words of encouragement into your life daily.
9. Look at yourself in the mirror and declare that you are beautiful, smart, unlimited, and able.
10 You are re- writing your life story already.

Take Away My Reproach

Joshua 5:8-10Amplified Bible (AMP)

8 Then, when they had finished circumcising all [the males of] the nation, they stayed in their places in the camp until they were healed. 9 Then the Lord said to Joshua, “This day I have rolled away the reproach (derision, ridicule) of Egypt from you.” So the name of that place is called Gilgal (rolling) to this day.

What is that reproach (derision, ridicule, shame) in your life? What makes you groan and cry ceaselessly night and day? Barrenness, Sickness, Lack of a God ordained relationship, Poverty and many more can make life meaningless and burdensome. Israel the nation of the Lord went through years of suffering, pain and reproach in Egypt. Israelites were physically and emotionally abused in Egypt; they lost their dignity and morale. Their spirit as a nation in captivity was at the lowest ebb.
Hashem Adonai, (God who delivers the captives from the wicked) saw the situation of His people, He rose like a mighty flood and raised up a standard against Pharaoh and his land, setting Israel free from the reproach of slavery.

Prophetic Word: Thus saith the Holy One of Israel:
I will take away your shame, your ridicule and your dirty garments. You have been on a difficult journey that is about to end. You are about to enter Gilgal. Prepare yourself for the triumphant entry; let your hearts be circumcised, putting away all filth. On Wednesday, I will welcome you into your new land. This shall be a land of fulfilled promises. No more delay. This is a new season!

Fast: 6am-6pm

***Welcome to Gilgal, a place of rolling away every shame.

Lord, give me a new beginning.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (AMP)

Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].

Everybody has a past, we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of Hashem Adonai. Though you cannot change the past, you can change your path and have a new beginning in Christ Jesus.
Jacob was a trickster but his life path was changed through a divine encounter with God. He surrendered and became Israel the father of all nations.

Rahab the prostitute surrendered to the divine will of God by helping the Israelite spies that Joshua sent to Jericho. Her life was saved and she became the first recorded Gentile convert. She was also inducted into the lineage of Christ by grace.

Saul of Tarsus persecuted followers of Christ for a long season until he had a divine encounter with Jesus on his way to Damascus. He was actually on a mission; to arrest and make charges against Christians. The dynamics of things changed. Saul surrendered, he became Paul the greatest advocate of the gospel of Christ in history.

When Jesus was crucified, He was positioned between two robbers who were also condemned to death. Both men derided Jesus until one saw the light. He became penitent and asked for mercy from the only one who could redeem his life from eternal condemnation. He immediately surrendered to the lordship of the Master. He confessed his unworthiness and began to glorify the son of God.

Who are you and what have you done? Jesus our master is waiting to give you a new beginning! His blood was shed for the atonement of your sins. Indeed, His Blood will wipe out the worst stain of sin. How do you go about it? It is very simple, just confess your sins to Him and ask Him to take rulership of your life. Surrender! Surrender! Surrender! You can do it now. It is between you and Him.

***Wednesday will be a day for celebrating your Redemption, your New beginning! Old things are gone, and you have a new life in Christ Jesus.

You will laugh!

Genesis 17
“15 Then God said to Abraham, “As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai (my princess), but her name will be Sarah ([d]Princess). 16 I will bless her, and indeed I will also give you a son by her. Yes, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of peoples will come from her.” 17 Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, “Shall a child be born to a man who is a hundred years old? And shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?” 18 And Abraham said to God, “Oh, that Ishmael [my firstborn] might live before You!” 19 But God said, “No, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son indeed, and you shall name him Isaac (laughter); and I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant and with his descendants after him. 20 As for Ishmael, I have heard and listened to you; behold, I will bless him, and will make him fruitful and will greatly multiply him [through his descendants]. He will be the father of twelve princes (chieftains, sheiks), and I will make him a great nation. 21 But My covenant [My promise, My solemn pledge], I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you at this time next year.” 22 And God finished speaking with him and went up from Abraham.”

Prophetic Word: Thus saith the Lord, Hashem Adonai: I will put a new song in your mouth, a new dance upon your feet, a new joy in your heart. You will surely laugh!

*Join the family this Wednesday, 23, August, for a refreshing time in God’s presence. In His presence there is fullness of joy.

* No venue, no admission fee. The meeting place is within you. The kingdom of God is within you.

*Fast: According to your measure of faith

If you don’t feed your soul, the world will feed it for you

Posted by: admin in: ● August 17, 2017

We’re all pretty aware that in order to live a long and healthy life, we have to take care of ourselves. It’s recommended that we eat whole foods, exercise regularly and take vitamins that help nourish us or correct any deficiencies. Focusing on our physical well-being is wonderful but so many of us forget that we also need to pay attention to our spiritual well-being. I’m not talking about going to your religious / spiritual place of worship every week, this goes deeper than that. I’m talking about feeding, growing and nourishing the relationship with the God that exists within you.

In the morning, you feed your body breakfast but what are you feeding your spirit? What are you feeding your soul? Are you speaking words of life, wisdom, abundance and encouragement or are you letting your soul run on empty? When you’re hungry, you’ll eat anything in sight just to have something in your stomach including junk food. The same goes for the soul. When the soul is starved, it is susceptible to the junk energy floating around. There’s nothing stopping it from allowing negative thoughts to take root. When your soul is hungry, you’re more likely to get angry, depressed, lonely and unfulfilled.

When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is express appreciation for my body, mind and spirit. I then move to physical things like my bed, my pillow, all the things that afforded me the opportunity to have a good night’s rest. By the time I make my way to the bathroom, I’m back to being thankful for my body. I appreciate the work that it does, I thank it for being so beautiful and strong. From my hair to my eyes to my feet, I feel an energy of gratitude for the purpose of each body part.

When I make my way into the shower, I start to speak words of encouragement and purpose for the unfolding day. I tell my day how it will go instead of letting the events of the day control me and determine my level of peace and happiness. If you do not feed your soul, the world will feed it for you. If you do not recognize and tell yourself who you are, the world will do it for you.

The fact is that no day is ever perfect but at the end of each day, I know that it was the best that it could possibly be. As I go to bed at night, I let go of all that was and settle into what is. Peace, surrender and contentment with the reality that all is well flow through me. I awake the next morning and I do it all over again.

Be persuaded!

Romans 4:18-24 NIV

“18 Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”[d] 19 Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. 20 Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, 21 being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. 22 This is why “it was credited to him as righteousness.” 23 The words “it was credited to him” were written not for him alone, 24 but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness.”

I am fully persuaded that God will perfect all that concerns me.
I am fully persuaded of His love and kindness.
I am fully persuaded that all His promises for my life will surely come to pass.
I am fully persuaded that my story will not end in defeat.
I am fully persuaded that God is able to do all that He promised me.
I am fully persuaded that God’s thoughts towards me are of good and not of evil.
I am fully persuaded that my battles are already won. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

Fasting: Not mandatory.

Summer suns are glowing over land and sea;
Happy light is flowing, bountiful and free;
Everything rejoices in the mellow rays;
Earth’s ten thousand voices swell the psalm of praise.

God’s free mercy streameth over all the world,
And His banner gleameth, by His church unfurled;
Broad and deep and glorious, as the heaven above,
Shines in might victorious His eternal love.

Lord, upon our blindness Thy pure radiance pour;
For Thy lovingkindness we would love Thee more;
And when clouds are drifting dark across the sky,
Then, the veil uplifting, Father, be Thou nigh.

We will never doubt Thee, though Thou veil Thy light;
Life is dark without Thee, death with Thee is bright;
Light of light, shine o’er us on our pilgrim way;
Go Thou still before us to the endless day.

Big Dreams = Big Journeys = Big Faith

Posted by: admin in: ● June 13, 2017

If you have set out to do great things or live an extraordinary life, there will inevitably come a point in your journey when you will need to carry yourself to the finish line. In spite of how many people support you and your dreams, your faith and belief in yourself and God’s promises for your life will be your only saving grace.

When you have a big dream, It’s always nice to have a support system of friends and family believing with you and in you. Like I said, it’s always nice and this usually happens if you’re lucky. Most of the time, there are just a lot of naysayers and doubting “Thomases” wondering out loud about how you’re ever going to be able to bring your vision to life.

Whenever I think about dreams, I think about one of the biggest dreamers in history –Joseph. I wonder what it must have felt like when his dreams which symbolized his eventual greatness and power caused him to be sold into slavery by his jealous brothers. When he was falsely accused of the attempted rape of Potiphar’s wife and thrown in jail, I wonder if those dreams that he once saw so clearly started to become blurry. I wonder if he started to doubt God’s plan for his life.

Joseph wasn’t the only one who had to hold on to his dreams when no one else believed in him. I think about David who was anointed King as a little boy and his long journey to claiming the crown that was destined to rest upon his head. I wonder about the thoughts and especially doubts that ran through his mind when he was was hiding out in caves while being hunted by Saul.

If David’s situation was bad, I can only imagine what Abraham was going through. Specifically told that he would be a father of nations, he couldn’t even muster up one child with Sarah. How was he supposed to be a father of generations with no one to carry on his name and legacy? I can imagine the whispers amongst his clan and I can certainly visualize how he felt each passing year with promises unfulfilled.

When you are in the trenches of doubt and hopelessness, I want you to think about those who came before you. Big dreams require big journeys and big journeys need big faith. In spite of the crumbling walls around you and the time that keeps passing you by, you have to believe that you will see the manifestation of your promise. When no one else believes, you owe it to yourself to keep believing. Stay the course and don’t even think of turning back!

What does it all mean?

What does it all mean?

Guest Writer: Wemi Opakunle

Have you ever found yourself analyzing all the different moments that life throws at you, (both good and bad) and thinking –“what does it all mean?” If there’s one thing thing that I’ve learned, it’s not to curse your problems or grumble about your path. Your path is perfectly designed to lead you to your destiny.

The bible story of Joseph never gets old for me. If you’re not familiar with this story, Joseph was a boy who had a dream of greatness (Read the full story here). The path to that greatness however, was nothing short of miraculous. From the betrayal of his brothers to the moment he became the right hand of Pharaoh, it was not an easy journey and I’m sure the winding road was one he never saw coming.

The fact of the matter is that Joseph wasn’t sold into slavery, he was sold into his destiny. I’m sure there were moments between being thrown into a pit by his brothers; being sold five times; working as a servant in Potiphar’s house; being falsely accused of rape; and then getting thrown in prison for a crime he didn’t commit, that he couldn’t see past his pain and wanted to give up. I’m sure it was difficult for him to reconcile why all of this was happening or if it was truly for a greater good.

I can imagine the frustration of feeling like his life was a waste, and the thoughts and doubts that he must have had to endure  about his dreams and instincts. What’s interesting is that being transported unwillingly from the familiar (his father’s land) into uncertainty (Egypt), and everything, both good and bad, that he subsequently went through, led him to being thrown in jail and to the one person who would change his life forever and put him on a collision course with his destiny. What are the odds that Pharaoh’s chief cup-bearer happened to be serving a sentence at the exact same time as Joseph?

There was no way that connection could have happened anywhere else and there was no way that Joseph could become Pharaoh’s dream interpreter and eventual confidant from his father’s backyard. His life had to be turned completely upside down and he had to be taken out of his comfort zone to fulfill the destiny that only he was capable of fulfilling. Another thing to note is that Joseph’s talent for interpreting dreams was given to him for a reason. It would be the currency that led him from the darkness into the light; from the cell to the palace.

The point of all this, is to say that nothing in your life happens by accident. Every gift you have been given has been pre-ordained for you and your journey. It is important for you to know that there’s a plan and every piece of the puzzle puts you closer to completing the picture on the box. There is a place for every trial and tribulation and one day, when it all comes together, you’ll see that it all meant something.
