BE STILL
In these times of uncertainty, people are worried stiff about survival. Many questions are asked daily, about how and what will happen to the house, children, or even the marriage; There seems to be an atmosphere of hopelessness and distraught every where. Our thoughts have become chaotic focusing on lack, shame and utter reproach; we are no more looking up to the hills as David the psalmist shared in the book of Psalm 121, but we are constantly looking down at the field of problems stretched before us. All we see is the expanse of Dandelion stubborn weeds and not God’s provision of fresh herbs for salad and tea. Our master and teacher Jesus the Christ actually saw the futility of such a way of thinking and He commanded us to change our warped perspective. He said, “Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?” He went further to compare and contrast our heavenly Father’s magnanimity with our minimal understanding of His amazing love for all His creation. “Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?” (Mathew 6: 25-30)
Brethren, it’s time to break loose from all limitations and begin to stand on the truth of God’s word. We are living in an abundant universe constantly replenished by an unlimited Father and Creator; He will never withhold any good thing from us. Let us therefore repent of our foolishness in ever believing that we lack or want anything. Kindly pray with us as we renew our minds in alignment with the true purpose of God for our lives.
Prayer points:
1) Pray for forgiveness of your sin: You have continuously doubted God and you have put Him in a box.
2) Pray for forgiveness of sin: You are constantly afraid of what will happen to you. You profess to be a child of God but you are not in alignment with the truth of His word.
3) Repent: You trust the report of the earthly system more than your heavenly Father. Your life is guided and inspired by news from the media and your fears are based on lies of the devil.
4) Pray that you will invest on your mind, working on it; adjusting the lens until you get the perfect picture.
5) Deliberate on the following scripture, night and day.
Jeremiah 17:7-8
King James Version (KJV)
7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.
8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
