Beyond Religions, Dogmas and Doctrines

For centuries man has continued to search for his purpose in life. This curiosity has led him on a journey of who, how, why and what. Religions, dogmas and doctrines have been the order of the day. The wild goose chase is endless. The more he tries to put it in a box, the more complex and meaningless it becomes. Autocracy, Bureaucracy, Temples, Churches, Halls, have all trapped man and enslaved him, disallowing him to achieve highest level of consciousness. Endless rituals, revivals, board meetings and physical structures have all hindered man from achieving his purpose on earth. Man made laws continue to limit us from moving into a higher order. We are yet to know the truth, of whom we are and why we are on earth. Jesus Christ said “. . . Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32)

Thousands of years ago, Jesus Christ also said “The kingdom of God is within us.  (Luke 17:21) That eternal bliss that man is looking for is within him.  He was created to have dominion (Genesis 1:26), he was also created in the image of his maker, for that was the only standard image that was available for a Being that would reign and rule over this big universe.

How then can mankind rule and have dominion? This can only be done when we move beyond shadows or the physical and we look within, into the realm of the things we cannot see but are powerful and are of higher energy and frequency. When man sees himself, as a spiritual being guided by higher consciousness rather than being matter, he will begin to break all shackles and fetters that have thus far prevented him from doing great exploits. When we look and tap into the true nature of God, which is within, we become enhanced.

What then is the true nature of God or call it Higher Consciousness?  The true nature of God is the exact true nature of man. We are made perfect in his own image (Genesis 1:26) which is an embodiment of righteousness, faith, strength, wisdom, love, power, imagination, understanding, will, order, zeal, elimination and life. When we embrace these virtues that are from within, we begin to experience the unfolding of the lotus. We also become liberated and set free from our own fears, ego and little world. If only we knew about the bigger world, we would have in fact been living in that greater purpose of God a long time ago.

Is it then too late to change our mindset? No! If you have been going on a journey that’s leading you nowhere, the most sensible thing to do, would be to turn around and ask for direction. You will not continue to go on a purposeless ride. Regardless of where you are now, you can still turn around and begin to explore the innumerable treasures within you. Remember this is about “Me.” The kingdom is within you! As you search for it, revelation comes followed by illumination. Khalil Gibran said in his book The Prophet “Your daily life is your temple and your religion.” The great poet, philosopher and author also said this of God “And if you would know God, be not therefore a solver of riddles rather, look about you, and you shall see him playing with your children. And look into space, you shall see him walking in the cloud, outstretching his arms in the lightening and descending in rain. You shall see him smiling in flowers, then rising and waving his hands in trees.
